Creating Barbie-themed content on multiple songs from the soundtrack to drive TikTok awareness to the Barbie Movie
The Barbie Movie has been one of the most talked-about movies of 2023 and we've had the opportunity to work on multiple songs from the soundtrack! 💖
Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice all released songs for the Barbie Soundtrack and we loved working on the TikTok campaigns for them 🌺 Here's a step-by-step of each song we worked on and how:
Dua Lipa - Dance The Night
We ran this campaign as an open brief and as a singular challenge in order to get a wave of entries and lots of creativity from our creators. We saw fun dance videos, Barbie-inspired makeup, Barbie-inspired outfits and so much more! Our creators had so much fun with this song and we ended up with 100+ posts, 1.1M+ views and 14,000+ new videos on the TikTok sound!! 💞
Charli XCX - Speed Drive
For this campaign, we focused on Barbie-themed content and saw the emergence of Barbie-themed filters coming through 💁♀️
We ran a singular challenge campaign to maximise entries from our creators and incentivise them to create their best content through paying the creators based on checkpoints of views they hit.
This one challenge campaign was enough to ensure us 80+ posts, 600K+ views (in 48 hours) and 3,000+ UGC!! 🎀
Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice - Barbie World
After seeing the success of Barbie-related filters on the Charli XCX challenge, we decided to amplify the most reactive filter: "Seeing how I would look as a Barbie doll". We ran one filter-only challenge for this song and saw so many creators jumping on this! We saw creators using the filter on themselves, their friends, their children and even their pets!!
It caused a crazy amount of UGC, with so many organic creations using the song and filter popped up almost overnight! 40,000+ new videos were created on the sound since we activated the campaign! 120+ posts and 900K+ views also resulted from this budget - so many amazing creations! 💝
The results?
Through a total of 3 challenge campaigns, we achieved combined results of 300+ creations, 2.6M+ views and 57,000 UGC!!
We pushed so many Barbie-themed trends via TikTok and even managed to create one with 40,000+ organic creations on the app 🥳
Awareness of the Barbie Movie was already high, but it's definitely at new heights thanks to the hype from TikTok 💗
