
Taking 'Rock That Body' from 25,000 to 3.2M UGC by flooding the sound with reactive dance trends 🕺
April 2025 brought along the resurgence of Black Eyed Peas' iconic 'Rock That Body' by going viral on TikTok 15 years after it's original release. We got involved when there was around 25,000 videos on the sound, and 3 million UGC later, we have a whole host of learnings to share 🪄
Our Challenge feature is a wonderful way to flood activated sounds with lots of creative content!
Challenges; influencers get pay-outs at certain view check-points - this is what incentivises creators to only take part in challenges that they truly resonate with and can create great content for! We notice a 30-40% increase in amount of material with challenges due to gamification, which also protects the budget for strong engagement.

Phase 1 - Amplifying dance trends



Dance trends were by far the most reactive content style on the sound, so we of course used this data to inform our activation so we could get the most out of the spend. Using our challenge feature, we were able to continue the momentum of UGC on the sound at a pivotal time by flooding it with organic-feeling content!
We asked creators to follow the dance trend in their own way, giving us a plethora of diverse and engaging content 🚀
Phase 2 - Duo dance trend & broadening the scope



The UGC continued to soar throughout the course of our activation, which allowed other trends to emerge. A duo dance trend started to pick up, so we gave our creators the option to recreate this or any content they felt best suited the track - by not restricting the briefing, this allows us to continue building on the strong foundation of content we've created 📈
The results?
Over the course of our activation, we achieved 30 million views across our incredibly well-performing 80+ posts 🔥
The most impressive part of the campaign was the sound going viral, picking up 3 million more videos along the way, sustaining considerable momentum of around 175,000 new videos a week 4 months later! Jumping on the back of emerging trends at an early stage helped us to catapult the UGC to an unimaginable level, and we're sure it'll continue rising throughout the rest of 2025 ✈️
